The second cake of the month was for Lola-Boo, the beautiful princess who lives next door, who turned 5 on the 26th March. She had had a Hello Kitty cake for her 4th Birthday and had requested another Hello Kitty cake. I decided to do something very different from her last cake and also change the colour scheme too. I got so inspired that I also made some really cute Hello Kitty Cupcakes with my new Hello Kitty Cutters. Lola was very pleased with her cake and all the adults really enjoyed it too. It was filled with the traditional filling of Vanilla Butter Cream and Strawberry Jam...
Bella-Trixia's 2nd Birthday Cakes - 17th March 2012
Well it's been some time since I posted on here! I have actually made 2 more birthday cakes and some cupcakes in the last month or so. I'm really enjoying planning and making the cakes and am finding it's helping me in not getting so stressed!!!! Work is manically busy as ever and we have some upsetting issues with an ex-employee.........and breath! I get so worked up just thinking about it!
The first cake I made was a Belle Princess Cake and some matching Pink Cupcakes. These were for Sam's friend's daughter Bella-Trixia's 2nd Birthday Party. She wanted a Belle Princess Cake, I think it's her favourite film! Having never made a cake like this before, I studied the internet for inspiration. I know I had a princess cake once when I was a little girl, but have no idea how mum made it for me! I have to say, it was remarkably easy to make and I was very pleased with the finished cake. What do you think?.........
I also had to make some Fairy Cakes in Pink for Bella's party, these turned out OK, but weren't my best ever Cupcakes!!
