Emily's 1st Birthday today and the cake is complete......
I am very happy with the result, the sponge rose massively so the cake is larger than I had imagined! Lets hope she likes it!!
Ben's Catering Assessment - UPDATED 10 FEB
Ben has a catering assessment tomorrow. He has to make a decorate a cake. He has decided on a Smartie Theme and has a picture to follow. He bought 35 tubes of Smarties at the weekend and spent a good hour or so dividing them into their colours. Last night he made his sponges, a rainbow mixture of Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. I shall post a picture of the finished cake, that's if he's not eaten it on the way home or at Tech!
FANTASTIC CAKE - BEN GOT AN A* FOR HIS ASSESSMENT!!! - I AM SO PROUD OF HIM!

A spot of eBay....
I have a massive Ikea bag full of items I want to eBay. I took photo's of them over 2 weeks ago but had not managed to list them, until today. Well 11 items to be exact, but it's a start! To be honest, you can't have too many finishing at the same time as it's so embarrassing when you have to post them all out, you can feel peoples eyes burning into your back whilst you are putting the items on the scales at the post office. Anyway once I sell a few things I will have some money in my paypal account to purchase some crafty bits!!!!!
Waybuloo Cake Underway......
Emily's 1st Birthday is fast approaching on Friday 10th February 2012 and I have been asked to make her a Waybuloo Cake! After a little research I discovered what Waybuloo is, a CBeebies programme for little people. So I set to work this morning making the Characters......
Scrapbook Crop Saturday 4th February 2012- Updated 10th Feb 2012
The 2nd Scrapbook Crop I have organised is happening on Saturday, I can't wait. I had such high hopes to scrap at some point after the 1st crop and before the next, but again I haven't managed to. All my 'STUFF' is still where I left it when I got home from the last one!
Fingers crossed for a few more scrappers this week. I know for sure that Mum and I will be there!
Watch this space for an update............
Fantastic day with 10 of us filling the village hall with beautiful papers, buttons, ribbons and embellishments. I think a lot was produced, I doubled my productivity from the last time, managing to complete 4 pages!!! Everyone seems very keen to have a 12 HOUR Crop!!! It seems to go so quickly and everyone hates packing up. I'm thinking its a good idea, but maybe when the weather starts warming up a little.
I'm really enjoying getting back into my crafting with the cakes and scrapbooking.

My 40th Birthday Weekend
A fantastic weekend! Martin and I went to Windsor on Saturday and stayed in the Harte and Garter Hotel and Spa. We checked in then went for afternoon tea!!!! Lush!!!
Then headed to the Spa where we spent a lovely afternoon. We both had a fantastic back, shoulder and neck massage & were so relaxed. Dinner in the beautiful restaurant with live music was amazing. I stayed up till midnight so that I could open my presents and cards. I think I was asleep within 5 minutes!!
On Sunday we did a little window shopping then headed home. Mum had decorated the house for me, balloons and banners!!
We then headed into Basingstoke to Pizza Express where we had dinner with some of my lovely friends and my family. Back home to Fireworks and Birthday Cake.
Jamie had made me a fantastic Rainbow Cake, with the help of Grannie! When you cut into it, is was multi coloured and tasted amazing.
I also had another cake that mum had got for me, a very pretty Jimmy Choo Shoe Cake, filled with chocolate buttercream, this was also very yummy!!
I had loads of presents, flowers and cards and thoroughly enjoyed turning 40!!! Don't mind doing it every year!!
